This is an antique knitted elastic boyleg panty girdle. The tag from this girdle is long gone except for a small nubbin which can be seen in the upper left corner of the photo. It is being sold as an antique, i.e. it is not certain that it could actually be worn although the elastic is surprisingly stretchable. The crotch is cotton and has a small hole in one side. There are 4 antique detachable metal garters.
SIZE estimate: probably a small; unstretched top measurement: 19". Beautiful example of a girdle which was probably made in the 1940s. This girdle was found some years ago in an antique store on the Eastern Shore of Maryland; beyond that the provenance is unknown.
